Responsible brokers are required to complete 53 hours of continuing education when they renew to include: 32 hours of required courses, 8 hours of which must be the Wyoming Brokerage Management course and 21 hours of electives.
Not sure how many credit hours you have earned? Contact the Wyoming Real Estate Commission at 307-777-7141.
REALTOR® members are also required to complete 2 1/2 hours of instruction on the REALTORS®’ Code of Ethics between Jan 1, 2022 and Dec 31, 2024. Failure to complete training during any cycle will lead to suspension of membership for January and February immediately following the cycle deadline, with termination of membership starting March 1 after the cycle deadline. Meeting the requirement is easy! Members may attend the Wyoming REALTORS® Ethics courses, or take an ethics course online through the National Association of REALTORS® or the the CE Shop. If you are a member of the Cheyenne Board of REALTORS® and don’t remember the last date you completed an Ethics class, please contact us and we’ll help you determine if you’ve met the requirement. (Requirements last updated in November 2019. See https://www.nar.realtor/board-of-directors-special-report-mls-code-of-ethics-recommendations-pass for more details.)
National Association of REALTORS® new-member applicants must now complete two hours of fair housing training and existing members must complete two hours of fair housing training every three years as a condition of REALTOR® membership, including one training option that is of no cost to members. The new requirement was approved by the association’s Board of Directors at its May 11 meeting. The three-year cycle coincides with NAR’s existing Code of Ethics training requirement and begins in 2025.
